Longest I’ve gone so far, really starting to build up some distance and time in my training now without any negative side effects.

Haworth Mudman 2009
November 3rd, 2009 by Shane No comments »Well, I signed up for the mudman and I must have been a madman. This event was meant to be a 5k run a 21k offroad bike and then a 3k run. Torrential rain and hail hit the Yorkshire Moors and turned it into hell on earth.
Swim Training Today
October 29th, 2009 by Shane No comments »45 minutes front crawl give or take a few breathers and a little choking. Bought a nose plug today which has made the whole affair a lot more serene if that’s the right word.
This whole lack of sunlight with the clock change has really knocked my body a little sideways. Doesn’t normally effect me so bad but I am really getting tired around 4pm. Maybe I need to invest in one of those sun lamp thingies?
Herbal Teas
October 29th, 2009 by Shane No comments »Ate well again today, nuts and banana and apple for breakfast followed by tuna and spinach for lunch. Pasta with spinach and ricotta for dinner. Managed to cut out all tea and coffee and switched to chamomile tea instead; I really like it. Tastes good and is quite relaxing. » Read more: Herbal Teas
Malteser Meltdown
October 28th, 2009 by Shane No comments »I ate pretty well today apart from a small bag of maltesers at about 9pm to releive a little stress – rubbish. Apart from that, banana and apple for breakfast, fruit and oat bar for mid-morning snack and grilled chicken, tomatoes and rice for lunch. Chicken and chick pea jalfrezi for dinner (home made of course).

There are two-types of stress, complementary and uncomplimentary. Complementary stress is positive and pertains to things like training and learning for example. These are stresses we place on the body that force it to grow.
